Cannot run ..EXE and .reg file (registry and executable file) in windows xp.. fix tricks

Whenever you try to run an .exe or .reg file, you receive a error...

"To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer."

I cannot even open  regedit... I receive the same error.

Steps to fix such errors

1. Do NOT Restore your computer, it will restore back all the malwares you just clean up.
2. Click Start, Run. 
3. Type cmd and press Enter.
4. Type notepad and press Enter.
5. Notepad opens. Copy all the text below into Notepad.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]
    @="\"%1\" %*"
Save this as fix.reg to your Desktop (remember to select Save as file type: All files in Notepad.)

Double Click fix.reg and click YES for confirm.
Reboot your computer
